The truck runs great right out of the box. I got the 3000 batterys but now wish I'd gone with the hump backs for a little more umph and run time. I love the way the truck handles and with a few tweeks to the set up it slides and powers off the turns like the real truck. the rocks collected on top of the pan chassie so I got an aluminum one so now the crud all falls thru and out. I'm new to RC trucks and after some practice I can now run with the best at the local indoor (carpet) track. Outdoor is another matter though. Man there fast . But with time I'll do better. The truck handles great on the dirt and I love the power slides and the way it hooks up comming off the turns !!! JUST GREAT!!! Tom ...58 year old kid near Washington D.C.

This is an excellent Ready to Run truck. It ships complete and ready for stock racing with all ages. As your experience grows, the Slash can be modified into a pro quality speed demon. The factory installed Titan T-12 is one of the most powerfull and rugged stock motors on the market. Down the road it's design allows for brushless motors, Lipo batteries, and FM radios.
